more completed in 2008 pictures...

because I was feeling sad when looking at my UFO list..but then I have to remind myself that last year at this time 90% of these projects were on that list too.

yikes!! that's what I said...I've been cleaning and sorting things out again in order to really make a difference on this list and to try to find the pattern to the knit shawl I've had going now for over 2 years. This on one hand is a good thing but on another is a bad bad thing...since I just found at least 1 more project to do that I forgot about. THis one is a quilt for Uncle Bob- I have basically all the fabrics for it and shouldn't be too hard to do and maybe have done for next year for him but its just the point that seriously I have more and more projects then I ever realized.

But I have made the basement area look much better then it was..not that its great now but its progress and I figure as long as I keep moving ahead instead of getting behind its a good thing.

2009 goals

craft related I want to get 1/2 of that list finished...that means right now there are 45 things on there and that means by the end of the year if I don't add anything to it it would be rough 23 things done and off it. Sounds like alot but when you think that 2 of those are actually gifts that are suppose to be presents for this christmas and several of them are just in need of quilting then its not so bad. Alot of the issue will be depending on my sewing machine which stopped working right after the car accident the beginning of November. And right now I have my mom's old kenmore which doesn't have a walking foot. SO I either have to get my machine fixed (not sure its even worth it yet), buy a new machine, OR buy a walking foot for my mom's if its available.


the other thing I want to do in 2009 is have all Christmas presents done by the end of November. I decided that right now those people who got tablerunners this year will more than likely get aprons, hotpads and tea towel sets. So that's not bad. And I have a few other things planned too. Those are in addition to the UFO list of things I want to get done.

So realistically I would need to get at least 2 ufo's done each month and also at least one set of Christmas presents done. So we shall see how things go in the coming months. I also think that at the rate of quilt tops I have to be quilted that are too big really for my little machine to handle so they will have to be sent out that I should probably look into getting a large frame but then its the issue of where to put it... issues! that's what I gots. LOL

oh me oh my

oh my that list looks bad doesn't it?! YIKES! WEll at least I won't get bored or run out of things anytime soon. I will just keep working away on things and hopefully make progress. In the mean time here are some pictures of projects done in 2008.

In the beginning

Ok I started this blog most as a way for me to limit the craft stuff on my family blog and keep that mostly about the kids.

My goal is to finish up UFO's around my house and use up stuff I have rather then buying. So on the side there will be a list of UFO's I have at this point.

I'm also going to keep track of all I've done craft wise this last year and then again in 2009. Hopefully this list will get longer and the UFO list will get shorter.
